God Doesn’t Always Show Up Loud
Read 1 Kings 19:11–12
(11) The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. (12) After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. 1 Kings 19:11–12

Wind.
Earthquake.
Fire.
If God is going to show up, that’s how you’d expect it.
Big.
Loud.
Obvious.
But God wasn’t in any of those.
He came in a whisper.
And that matters.
Because some of us are waiting on a dramatic moment.
A sign.
A breakthrough.
A big answer.
And instead… it’s been quiet.
But just because God is quiet doesn’t mean He is absent.
Sometimes He’s speaking…
Just not the way you expected.

Today’s Question: Am I missing God because I’m only looking for something dramatic?
Today’s Challenge: Spend a few quiet minutes with God today…no distractions, no noise…just listening.
Today’s Prayer: “Lord, help me hear You even when You whisper. Slow me down enough to recognize Your voice.”
