You’re Not the Only One
Read 1 Kings 19:10
(10) He replied, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.” 1 Kings 19:10
—
Elijah says, “I’m the only one left.”
But he’s not.
He just feels like he is.
And when you’re running on empty, your perspective gets distorted.
You start to believe:
“I’m the only one struggling.”
“I’m the only one carrying this.”
“Nobody understands.”
But that’s not reality.
That’s exhaustion talking.
God eventually tells Elijah there are 7,000 others who haven’t bowed to Baal.
Seven thousand.
He wasn’t alone.
And neither are you.
—
Today’s Question: Where have I started believing that I’m alone when I’m not?
Today’s Challenge: Reach out to one person today and be honest about how you’re doing.
Today’s Prayer: “Lord, remind me that I’m not alone. Help me open up instead of isolating myself.”
