Sometimes the Most Spiritual Thing You Can Do Is Rest
Read 1 Kings 19:5–6
(5) Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” (6) He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. 1 Kings 19:5–6

Elijah is done.
So what does God do?
He doesn’t correct him.
He doesn’t preach to him.
He doesn’t rebuke him.
He lets him sleep.
Then He feeds him.
That’s it.
No sermon.
Just a snack and a nap.
Which tells us something we don’t always believe:
Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do…is rest.
Not push harder.
Not try more.
Not grind through it.
Rest.
Because you can’t run on empty forever.

Today’s Question: Am I trying to push through something that I actually need to rest from?
Today’s Challenge: Build margin today…even if it’s small. Slow down, breathe, and rest without guilt.
Today’s Prayer: “God, help me stop ignoring my limits. Teach me to rest the way You designed me to.”
