Stop Settling

A small view of God will always lead to small worship. 

After returning from exile, God's people were back in the Temple, but their hearts were no longer captivated by the greatness of God. They continued going through the motions of worship, yet they were giving God their leftovers instead of their best. Through the prophet Malachi, God exposes the real issue…not a sheep problem, but a heart problem. When God becomes ordinary to us, worship becomes casual, obedience becomes optional, and our passion begins to fade. But when we remember that He is the Great King who gave His very best for us through Jesus, wonder is restored and giving Him our best becomes our joyful response.
