Stop Carrying What You Were Never Meant to Carry

Read Matthew 11:28–29

(28) Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (29) Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Jesus says something simple but life-changing:

“Come to me… and I will give you rest.”

Which means that some of what you’re carrying…You were never meant to carry.

The pressure to be perfect.
The weight of everyone’s expectations.
The need to control everything.
The guilt you can’t seem to shake.

Some of us are exhausted not because life is hard…

But because we’re carrying things Jesus already said He would carry.

And no wonder we’re tired.

Today’s Question:
What am I carrying right now that Jesus never asked me to carry?

Today’s Challenge:
Name one thing you need to release and intentionally give it to Jesus in prayer today.

Today’s Prayer:
“Jesus, I’ve been carrying things You never asked me to carry. Help me trust You enough to let them go.”

Weekly Memory Verse:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
