Belief Before Understanding
Read John 20:8–9
(8) Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (9) (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)
—
John says something fascinating.
He writes, “He saw and believed.”
And then immediately adds that he and Peter still didn’t fully understand everything yet.
In other words, belief came before complete understanding.
This happens more often than we realize.
Sometimes we want every question answered before we trust God.
But faith often works the other way around.
We take a step toward God…
And understanding follows later.
The disciples didn’t have everything figured out that morning.
But they knew something extraordinary had happened.
And that was enough for them to take the next step.

Today’s Question:
Am I waiting to understand everything before I trust Jesus?
Today’s Challenge:
Take one step of faith today even if you don’t have every answer.
Today’s Prayer:
Jesus, help me trust You even when I don’t understand everything yet.
