Jesus Knows People

Read John 1:47–48

(47) When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.”

(48) “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked.

Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.”

When Nathanael finally meets Jesus, Jesus says something remarkable.

He reveals that He already knows him.

In other words, before Nathanael ever met Jesus…

Jesus knew where he had been.

That moment changed everything for Nathanael.

Because he realized something important:
Jesus doesn’t just know about people.

Jesus knows people.

He knows our past.
He knows our struggles.
He knows our questions.
He knows the things we think no one else sees.

And yet He still invites us to follow Him.

That’s grace.

Today’s Question: Is there something in my life I assume Jesus doesn’t know or care about?

Today’s Challenge: Bring one area of your life honestly before Jesus in prayer today. And remember that nothing about your life surprises Him.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, thank You for knowing me completely and still loving me fully.
