Found People Find People
Read John 1:45
(45) Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
-
As soon as Philip begins following Jesus, he goes and finds someone else.
Nathanael.
He doesn’t wait six months.
He doesn’t take a class.
He doesn’t assume he needs to become an expert first.
He simply tells someone he knows about Someone he just met.
And that’s how the gospel has always spread.
One person telling another person.
To this day, most people meet Jesus not because of a preacher on a stage, but because of someone they know personally.
A friend.
A coworker.
A neighbor.
A family member.
And this means that God may want to use you the same way He used Philip.
-
Today’s Question: Who in my life might God want me to help connect to Jesus?
Today’s Challenge: Write down the name of one person who doesn’t currently follow Jesus and begin praying for them this week.
Today’s Prayer: Lord, help me care about the people around me the way You do. Show me who You may want me to reach.
