As You Go

Before Jesus told His followers what to do, He reminded them who He is. All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him. And because He has that authority, His words aren’t suggestions…they’re directions. Jesus commands His followers to make disciples, not just converts or church attenders. But this mission isn’t limited to missionaries or pastors. The call to “go” happens in the ordinary rhythms of life such as at work, at school, at the gym, and in our neighborhoods. As we go through life, we help others learn from Jesus so they can live like Jesus. And while that assignment may feel overwhelming, Jesus ends with a promise that changes everything: we don’t just go for Him. We go with Him.
