Return Before You Ask God to Restore
Read Joel 2:14
(14) Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing… Joel 2:14
—
One of the most surprising parts of this passage is that Joel never promises God will remove every consequence.
Instead, he says…
“Who knows?”
Why?
Because repentance isn’t a negotiation.
It’s a return.
Sometimes God restores everything we’ve lost.
Sometimes He doesn’t.
But that’s never the greatest miracle.
The greatest miracle is that people who have wandered from God can come home again.
That’s the blessing Joel wants us to see.
Not restored crops.
A restored relationship.
And because of Jesus…
That’s available to every one of us.

Today’s Question:
Am I seeking God Himself or simply asking Him to fix my circumstances?
Today’s Challenge:
Today, spend more time thanking God for His presence than asking Him to change your situation.
Today’s Prayer:
“Jesus, thank You for making it possible for me to return to the Father. Help me treasure You more than the blessings You give.”
—
Weekly Memory Verse:
“Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart…” Joel 2:12
