The Road Is Not Random

Read Acts 8:27–29

So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian[a] eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet. The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.”

Philip leaves revival in Samaria for a desert road.

That sounds like a downgrade.

But it wasn’t random.

On that dusty road was a spiritually curious man reading Isaiah. And God positioned Philip exactly where he needed to be.

Philip didn’t see the full picture.
But God did.

You may not fully understand why you’re in your current job, classroom, neighborhood, or season.

But if you’re walking with Jesus, you’re not there by accident.

There may be a name on that road.

Someone searching.
Someone reading.
Someone confused.
Someone spiritually curious.

And God may have placed you there on purpose.

Today’s Question: Who might be on the “road” God has already placed me on?

Today’s Challenge: Write down one name of someone in your everyday life who may be spiritually curious. Pray specifically for them today.

Today’s Prayer: Father, help me trust that You have positioned me exactly where I am for a reason. Open my eyes to the people around me.
