04. The Trap of Wanting More
The Trap of Wanting More
Day Four - February 12th
Scripture:
“Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap…” — 1 Timothy 6:9
Devotional:
Notice Paul’s warning isn’t about wealth itself—it’s about the desire for it. When getting more becomes the goal, it slowly reshapes our hearts and decisions. What starts as ambition can turn into obsession, pulling us away from trust in God.
The danger of “more” is subtle. It rarely announces itself as sin. Instead, it promises security, control, or happiness—things only God can truly give.
Reflection Question:
What desires might be quietly pulling my heart away from trusting God?
Prayer:
Lord, guard my heart from desires that lead me away from You.
