Drift Happens Slowly

Read Hebrews 2:1

(1) We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. Hebrews 2:1

Nobody drifts somewhere on purpose.

You don’t accidentally wake up one day and decide:

“I think I’d like to slowly become distant from God.”

Drift is subtle.

It happens one skipped moment at a time.

One distracted season at a time.
One compromise at a time.

And summer has a way of speeding that up.

Schedules change.
Routines disappear.
Vacations happen.
Church attendance gets inconsistent.

And before you know it, you feel spiritually disconnected.

That’s why Hebrews says: “Pay careful attention…”

Because drift doesn’t happen all at once.

It happens slowly.

Today’s Question:
What spiritual habit tends to drift first in my life?

Today’s Challenge:
Choose one consistent rhythm to protect this summer…prayer, church attendance, Scripture, or community.

Today’s Prayer:
“Jesus, help me stay close to You instead of slowly drifting away without noticing it.”

Weekly Memory Verse:
