Read Psalm 127:2

(2) In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves.* Psalm 127:2

“In vain you rise early and stay up late…”

This isn’t a shot at hard work.

It’s a warning about misplaced trust.

Because you can do all the right things…

Wake up early.
Stay up late.
Work harder.
Try more.

And still feel exhausted.

Why?

Because it’s not just about how hard you’re working.

It’s about who you’re trusting.

Where have I been relying on my effort instead of trusting God?

Today’s Challenge:
Pause in the middle of your day and remind yourself: “God is in control. I don’t have to be.”

Today’s Prayer:
“Lord, help me stop striving for control and start trusting You more deeply.”

“Unless the Lord builds the house…”

That’s where this starts.

Not with better parenting.
Not with more effort.
Not with getting everything just right.

With God.

Because if we’re honest, a lot of us feel the pressure to get this right.

To say the right things.
Make the right decisions.
Raise our kids the right way.

And underneath all of that is this quiet fear:

“What if I mess this up?”

Psalm 127 reminds us of something freeing:

You were never meant to do this alone.
