Day 5 – Teach Them to Obey
Read Matthew 28:20
"and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Jesus doesn’t say, “Teach them to know everything.”
He doesn’t say, “Teach them to debate everything.”
He doesn’t say, “Teach them to understand everything.”
Jesus says, “Teach them to obey everything.”
That’s a big difference.
Now, it’s important that we know the Word. It’s important that we understand what we believe and can explain why we believe it. Jesus isn’t against learning.
But if we don’t obey what we know, we’ve missed the point.
Because you can know a lot and obey very little.
But a disciple arranges their life around the teachings of Jesus.
A disciple doesn’t just learn from Jesus. They live for Him.
Now, if that feels overwhelming, remember how Jesus ends this conversation.
He says, “I am with you always.”
Always.
He’s with you in every conversation.
He’s with you in that step you’ve been avoiding.
He’s with you when obedience feels costly.
You don’t go alone.
You don’t speak alone.
You don’t obey alone.
He is with you wherever you go.
And because He is with you, obedience is always possible.

Today’s Challenge: Take one step. Have one conversation. Extend one invitation. Pray one bold prayer.
Today’s Prayer: Jesus, help me move from information to obedience. Remind me You are with me and give me the courage to obey.
