Day 4 – Start with Surrender
Read Matthew 28:19b
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"
When Jesus tells us to make disciples, He immediately talks about baptism.
That’s not accidental.
That’s intentional.
Because baptism is what people do when they begin following Jesus.
Baptism isn’t just some sort of religious ritual.
It’s going public with your faith.
It’s saying, “My old life is gone. My life now belongs to Jesus.”
It’s a visible declaration of allegiance.
Now, baptism isn’t what saves you or makes you new. Jesus does that. Salvation happens when you repent and place your faith in Him. Baptism is simply the outward expression of that inward decision.
Baptism is you saying, clearly and publicly, “I belong to Him.”
So, if you’ve believed in Jesus, but haven’t been baptized, it’s time to take that step.
It’s time to stop delaying obedience.
It’s time to publicly declare that Jesus is your Savior and King.
Not because baptism saves you.
But because Jesus commands you to.
And He’s worth obeying.
-
Today’s Question: Have I truly surrendered my life to Jesus or am I still holding something back?
Today’s Challenge: If you’ve never been baptized, start the conversation this week. Don’t delay obedience. If you know someone who needs to take that step, encourage them to go public.
Today’s Prayer: Father, my life belongs to You. Give me courage to declare that boldly and live it faithfully.
